JBGass Solicitors

“This firm (via a guy called Luke Hewitt) acted for a house builder who I bought from.

They served on my solicitor a Notice of Practical Completion which triggered transfer of monies but did so despite the fact that their client knew they had not obtained discharge of pre occupation planning conditions relating to remediation of contaminated land. They would not answer my lawyer's questions about outstanding conditions and preferred to hide behind a clause in the contract requiring their client to build in accordance with planning. The surface of the lawn was full of rubble and glass, so much so that the area has now been declared a risk to human health. Photo attached. Their client has now been ordered by the Council to dig up and replace nearly 2,000 tons of soil. Despite being asked some searching questions, this firm refuses to answer any questions on their conduct. Coward!! AVOID this guy at all costs

“We recently completed a sale and purchase with JB Gass.

We dealt with Annemarie & James, who were brilliant from the start to finish. They kept us informed every step of the way, they always responded promptly to emails, and they were proactive with other solicitors and agents in the chain. We want to say a BIG thank you, your gifts are on the way!. Best wishes, Mark & Nikki.

• Communication

“My partner and I received outstanding service from Annemarie and James throughout the purchase of our first house.

No question was too much to answer and we were kept updated throughout the process, which was kept as 'stress-free' as possible and led to a swift completion. Would absolutely recommend JB Gass to anyone looking to purchase a new residential property and will likely return for any future transactions. Thank you both! Danny & Laura

• Excellent service

“My first experience when buying my first house nearly 10 years ago with JBGass was very good.

However my more recent transactions with them have unfortunately been poor. The lack of communication and not being pro-active at all caused delays and I believe the delays could have been even more significant if I hadn't pushed for progress. As a customer, the feeling is that either the solicitor I was dealing with has too much workload on to provide a reasonable service, or that they don't care. I wouldn't recommend using if you want a decent turn-around.
