The last week or our parent's life in written form and in the presence of the family, our parent contacted the firm and clearly stated "Is everything in order for the estate and is there anything outstanding that needs to be done so that my children will not have the burden with the exception of the basic perfunctory obligations required by law?" Well, they dragged it out for years. They gave erroneous information. Gave costly advice. Overlooked and lost valuable information. Had it not been for the family seeking other legal advice and passing it on to them; to which they copied and pasted...sent back to us to sign and then charged us for the work we did just so that we could have it on their letter head they would have cost the estate more. They cost the estate (thousands and thousands to be clear, not to mention the years on retainer where they dusted the files at the time of death having not managed it with fiduciary responsibility) Their ratings are low because they are incompetent and it goes right up to the very top. I could write a novel about their incompetence but ultimately the best advice. Stay away from this firm. They will cost your estate incredible sums of money and create stress that prevents proper mourning and other health issues. No mixing words here, TERRIBLE! How their doors remain open and they have not been shut down is beyond comprehension.

I've had a few dealings with Mike Kane and Juliet Barker at Turcan Connell and have been very impressed with their diligence and attention-to-detail regarding a couple of commercial transactions/business exits I've been involved with. Always quick to respond to messages/emails, and able to distill the core issues surrounding draft agreements and the ramifications of agreeing to same in layman's terms, without making you feel like an idiot in the process. Obviously different departments/people may well provide different levels of expertise and customer service, but I can't speak highly enough of Juliet, Mike and their colleagues. In my experience, Turcan Connell have been fantastic.

They were the sellers solicitors, they caused a delay of more than 10 days. Also, so far, they have not notified the corresponding factors the new entry date, therefore, they want me to pay for a period of time when the property was not mine yet. Avoid this solicitors, don't deal with them, they only cause delays and problems
