When I first met this solicitor at the police station, I asked him how much prison time the offense I was alleged of carried. Instead of answering, he told me I should "look it up myself." furthermore he said I wouldn't be granted bail and would be held on remand. I asked him how I should look up sentencing guidelines while I'm in a cell on remand. He had no answer and no practical advice. He just shut it down. To make things worse, in court, he got many details of my case completely wrong. It felt like he hadn't reviewed my file properly. I lost confidence in him entirely. I would not recommend him to anyone facing criminal charges. You need someone who knows the law, listens to you, and gets the facts right in front of a judge.
