My family member was charged with a serious offence and had no confidence (after several police station meetings) in the Duty Solicitors that had been appointed. So, I contacted a family friend, who was a retired solicitor based in Brighton & Worthing, and they recommended Oliver Mackrell. After our initial meeting with Oliver, having been made to feel very welcome by Kate and her office colleagues, I asked my family member how they felt about using Oliver. Their response was that this experience had been totally different to anything that they had experienced up to this point, and MOST importantly they felt very comfortable in Olivers hands. Oliver appointed a suitable barrister, Mr Greg Johnson, who on meeting us at the first hearing, also made all of us feel very comfortable. The process was clearly explained, evidence was examined and questioned over a period of time, and the best possible outcome was made, with a unanimous Not Guilty verdict. I cannot express how important it was for my family member to feel so confident in the people representing them, and also by the respectable way we were treated by the office staff.
