DO NOT USE THIS FIRM IF YOU WANT YOUR HOUSE PURCHASE &/OR SALE TO GO THROUGH HASSLE FREE. We are now over 23 weeks into a sale and purchase with these solicitors and still have no end in sight. We are completely chain free and cannot get a response from them via email or telephone. Staff are rude when you do finally speak to them and blame everyone and anyone else for their incompetence. Neither our estate agents nor mortgage broker have ever witnessed such shoddy service from a solicitor, and I can honestly say that I would rather stick pins in my eyes than ever have to deal with them again. Absolutely shocking. Stay well clear. Edit to update: I have now received a threatening email from them to say that they will 'issue proceedings' if I do not remove this review. Seriously mind-blowingly shocking. Strange that they can respond to reviews but not to paying clients emails or telephone calls. Second Edit: Forced by Knaggs & Co to remove my original review or they would 'no longer act for us' after carrot dangling a long overdue completion date. 'I am happy to let you know we have had the 30th May agreed on your sale for completion however I have been advised that we can no longer work on your file or act for you due to the issues raised by your partner. Can you please confirm that your partner will NOT contact us again and the review will be removed immediately, alternatively, you will need to take your file elsewhere' Nice touch Knaggs & Co! If you worked a fraction as hard at doing your actual job, rather than threatening people who leave HONEST reviews, we would have completed our sale and purchase MONTHS ago and you wouldn't have multiple reviews all starting the same thing. Have you threatened them all? I'm not often short of words, but in this case, words actually fail me. Unbelievably despicable behaviour. Knaggs & Co, you have single-handedly turned an exciting time into a complete nightmare, caused rifts in our relationship and caused financial loss due to my partner not knowing her on-going work availability.
