Wouldn’t recommend due to lots of facts but the main one being that even though myself and my sister were joint beneficiaries, my emails would go unanswered but they responded to hers. Still waiting for a response to my last 4 emails. Extremely unprofessional and upsetting. Too small to handle a lot of cases at once. No deputy if your solicitor was away or ill. Our late mum’s sale completed on 20th November and one legacy was told she wouldn’t get the money before Christmas. Eventually released interim payment to me and my sister 9 days before Christmas. Slow in dealing with simple tasks. Probate was granted in 3 weeks but it took Mr Pert almost 3 months to start work on it. The buyer of my Mum’s home had sold a property in France and it took 5 weeks for the money to arrive in the UK. Why was she not told that the money needed to be available when she first made the offer. I lost my job due to stress of losing Mum, illness and worrying about why things weren’t done in a timely manner leading up to completion. Held on to our inheritance way too long. Small amount of interest paid didn’t seem right. Fees seem steep and still not had a proper breakdown of them. Time taken in all was ridiculously long.
