We finally got our property yesterday (27/02/2026). At the beginning of the process, Ashley James solicitors were decent but the deeper we got in the process, the more (unnecessary) delays we got into. The most painful part of the entire process was the anti-money laundering checks as we kept getting asked for more and more documents even though we asked if we could be told exactly what was needed upfront. I’d also highlight the lack of communication too — A simple status update about where we are and what we are waiting on/for would be great instead of having to chase for every single update. Overall, I’d say that we’d probably look elsewhere and use a different solicitor next time.
