After my wife died I decided to sell our commercial property. Our family business had been located there and this was an emotional and stressful situation. The High Street building consisted of one shop, one tea room and two flats. Four tenants with three different types of tenancy agreements. I mistakenly, possibly foolishly, thought this would be straight forward. After receiving a very competitive estimate from Askews, I confirmed their appoitment and paid 50% deposit. I was pleased that my estate agent also recommended them. Having accepted an offer to purchase the property, Askews prepared the paperwork. Four weeks later the buyer withdrew. A new buyer was found, however they ran into numerous problems with their lender. This resulted in additional legal work. I am very grateful that the buyers remained commited to purchasing and a new lender was found. The conveyencing became complex. frustrating and stressful. I am very grateful to all the staff at Askews. They managed the situation and with great skill, remaining supportive and empathetic to my situation following the loss of my wife. On completion I received my final invoice. Despite all the extra work that had been undertaken, the price was, as quoted. In 1976 Askews completed the conveyencing of my first house. Fifty years later they continue to provide the same outstanding service.
