I’m very disappointed with the whole experience when I contacted first legal they told me I would get my money back for the front door and back door I paid for out my own pocket as the doors were not safe and Sandwell council would not change them apparently there’s no funding for this. I have complained about my doors over and over it’s all on record they even came to my house took the door off shaved it down and put it back on as the wood was that old it kept swelling with the weather The state of inside my home and what I had to live in was absolutely heartbreaking plaster falling off the walls dust everywhere some parts were back to brick . I’m a single mom and my late father payed for my home improvements losing my father in the mist of all this to , listen it’s not been easy and I have to contact first legal for information regarding my case they didn’t update me Anyway it’s now Friday 22nd may and I’m still waiting for my compensation witch is £1000 by the way what a joke my doors were £2500 not to mention the other work I’ve had done because Sandwell council wouldn’t fix it (no funding) (no money) this is what I continuesley was told. I was told it would be in my bank by the 19th may 2026 so I had to call back as that is not the case I was then told by my case worker (case worker number 2 or 3 I think ) I should receive it today well surprise surprise there’s no compensation money in my bank Dissatisfied disappointed angry and very upset I shouldn’t have bothered with none of this what a joke doubt I will be paid anything
