Be warned - we were quoted £800 as fees for remortgaging and were charged £1700 (after a straightforward remortgaging to a new lender). We were asked to pay the amount on a Friday before completing on the following Monday, effectively meaning there is no time to challenge the cost without delaying (which will end up costing even more). As the hidden costs are agreed to when signing terms of business, there is no way of challenging but obviously feels incredibly misleading and expensive for what it is. Additionally, communication was poor with emails not responded to and only getting in touch when they needed something. Wouldn’t have minded this too much if we hadn’t then been charged such a significant amount.
