I've waited to give this review just so that I can ensure I'm being fair. Liverpool legal strung me along for a while when I was remortgaging my home. They told me they were on the panel for all parties involved and would be able to assist me. I asked about time scales wanting to ensure everything was completed in good time, but was rudely told that they had to act on the interest of both myself and the bank so they couldn't give me any assurances. Of course I understand that the banks needs must also be met - but surely wanting to ensure that the remortgage proceeds is in the interest of all parties. Getting a call back or booking time in was extremely difficult. I booked in a meeting with the team and just one hour later, after 5 pm so I could not sort the matter, they emailed me to say that actually 'due to a technical issue' they were suspended from the panels they needed to be on. This was told to me after weeks of conversation - something had they been honest with me up front, I would not have to scramble to fix. In addition they explained to me how my situation was not simple at all, and proceeded to inform me of what I actually needed to do (underlining the text in the email). Now, the reason I waited to post my review, was simply to ensure that this process could in fact be completed in good time. Used another firm - completely professional and extremely friendly, something Liverpool Legal seem to be lacking. The team worked fast on my remortgage, and have had no issues at all with the now even shorter timescale (due to Liverpool Legal lack of communication). Remortgage completed - all parties involved are happy, without once implying to me that my needs were not as important as the banks, and turns out that the section Liverpool Legal underlined in their email, letting me know where I was going wrong, was in face incorrect - how patronising. Thank you Liverpool Legal, you've actually pointed me in the direction of a better firm, who I will absolutely use in the future.
