Working with Newstead and Walker took considerable effort and patience, but got there in the end. I sought their services for a shop lease. Any questions I sent my solicitor at Newstead and Walker typically take about 2 weeks to answer if I follow up my email a few times to remind them. They are not contactable by phone in my experience, but did return a call once (I was in considerable stress by this time). Most documentation needs to all be mailed back and forth, no modernisation. When I did receive answers to any questions over email, they were polite and thorough, and matched up to the advice I had received elsewhere (I had to seek outside advice at my own cost due to the time taken by Newstead and Walker). I challenged the fee due to the considerable stress it caused, and despite following up, I did not receive any response for over 10 months. When I eventually had a response, they simply asked again for the money. After many attempts trying to reason with them, they did agree to a 20% discount on the fees (a year had passed at this point). The resulting fee was still higher than most others. I have not used them again.
