Statement Regarding My Experience with Frederick Solicitors – Jonathan Frederick On 25th February 2025, I contacted Jonathan from Frederick Solicitors by telephone regarding my redundancy. During the call, I explained my situation in detail. He asked how many years I had worked at the company and then requested that I email him a copy of my redundancy settlement letter, which I did. Following that, Jonathan sent me a link to fill in electronically. I completed the link, expecting a proper consultation or at least some form of discussion about my redundancy settlement. However, Jonathan failed to arrange any consultation, provide any legal advice, or even discuss the content of my settlement agreement with me. Instead, he acted unethically by approaching my employer behind my back. Fortunately, I had open communication with my HR team, so I was made aware of what was happening. Upon discovering this, I immediately sent Jonathan an email around 12:40pm the same day, stating that I no longer wished to use his services due to his behaviour, which I found greedy and unprofessional. Despite never representing me or offering proper legal advice, Jonathan still attempted to charge £600.00 for simply sending me an electronic link — a service that was neither explained clearly nor agreed upon. By that point, he had already seen the financial details of my redundancy settlement and clearly took advantage of the situation. Thankfully, I found an honest solicitor from a different law firm who handled my case with integrity, fairness, and professionalism — and who didn’t attempt to charge my employer anywhere near £600.00 for doing a proper job. In my opinion, Jonathan Frederick’s actions were greedy, dishonest, and manipulative. I strongly advise anyone considering using Frederick Solicitors not to send them any documentation containing sensitive settlement figures until you are absolutely clear on their terms and intentions. To potential clients: please take the time to read genuine reviews — not the paid or biased ones. Do your own research before instructing Frederick Solicitors. Don’t be misled by tactics like sending links designed to trap you into financial commitments with no transparency or accountability. I would not recommend this firm to anyone. Proceed with caution.
