I had an excellent experience with Willsons Solicitors during my first home purchase. My case was handled by Team Burton, under Miss Taylor Askill, and I couldn't have asked for a better service. As a first-time buyer, I had lots of questions and wasn't familiar with the conveyancing process. From the moment my case was opened in early June, Taylor and her team guided me through every step. They clearly explained what forms needed completing, what documents were required, and what I needed to do next. Their instructions were always easy to follow, which made the whole process much less stressful. I believe my case was opened around 8 June, and my purchase was completed on 29 July, roughly six to seven weeks, which I think is an excellent turnaround. I should also mention that I made sure to provide everything they requested as quickly as possible, such as proof of funds and other documents. Conveyancing works best when both the solicitor and the client are proactive, and I felt the team did everything they could to keep things moving efficiently. One thing that really stood out was their communication. Every email I sent was answered very quickly, often within minutes. I never had to chase them for updates or keep calling to see what was happening. They always kept me informed, confirmed when documents had been received, and let me know what the next steps were. He was incredibly proactive, responded to my emails promptly, and was always willing to help whenever I had a question. The team also worked closely with my mortgage lender to ensure the mortgage funds were received on time, helping my completion go smoothly without unnecessary delays. In terms of cost, I found Willsons to be very competitively priced. They weren't the cheapest, but they certainly weren't the most expensive either. I received quotes ranging from £1,700 to £2,700, and my quote with Willsons was around £1,950, which included their deed storage service. This means they securely retain a copy of your property's deeds, which can be useful if you ever need them in the future. Overall, I would happily give Willsons Solicitors 5 out of 5 stars. Their professionalism, communication, efficiency, and customer service were outstanding from start to finish. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone buying a property, especially first-time buyers.
