Totally at a loss as to what’s is being played out here. Applied with the online form for free consultation- was told it would cost £350. I asked why the form said ‘Free’? Was told that applies to initial consultation. Informed them that’s what I wanted, and could I book with a woman- Roberta is it? Apparently not available. Asked when will be and said I’d like to book, then again, that will be £350. Again I repeated about the form. Oh that’s for an assessment of what you need. Again - that’s what I’d like to book. Ok, but the person that deals with that isn’t in today. I pressed the matter, no worries when? We can let you know and if you’d like to see Roberta it’s £350. Getting quite annoyed now by how this is going as I don’t see why I’m having to spell it like out when the form clearly says ‘free initial consultation’. I asked again what the free consultation is and was given a very wriggly halted thinking on the spot answer-trying to explain what the form is for, that at one point the girl said ‘it’s for making your enquiry’ I pressed again- it’s free to give your name and number but not talk? Another disingenuous answer around the lines of but they aren’t in today. Asked when back in ‘don’t know……. Tomorrow, *long pause* might be. As you can imagine I went elsewhere as why would I pay £350 if they might not be the solicitor I need? Bear in mind they knew nothing about my situation at all. I later received a voicemail from a different person stating ‘I believe you’ve been given costings, call us back if you’d like to proceed’. What an awful experience! Why are they wriggling out of free consultations as if they don’t exist and don’t offer them on their website? From reading other reviews, I’m even more convinced that they are definitely not the people to trust with sensitive life or business decisions. As you can imagine this experience was really not needed at the moment.
