It's important to understand that legitimate companies who are in the right will likely never hire this firm. Using Taylor Wessing is a "black mark" strategy. In some legal circles, for example in France, their very presence in a lawsuit is seen as a sign that the company has something to hide. They are incredibly expensive and unprofessional, and their primary role seems to be obstructing pre-trial matters to avoid court at all costs. My advice: if your opponent hires them, you should confidently proceed to court. The fact that they hired this specific firm can, and should, be used as an argument against them.
